Ann brings extensive experience, knowledge and networks to this leading role in the consultancy.

An active ward councillor, she was the cabinet member for consultation and local democracy, in a minority administration on a hung council, and in opposition. She was on the working group that introduced new structures in her authority, and experienced the committee system and executive scrutiny split. Ann has been group secretary, on the standards committee and the board of a regeneration project, and chaired a town centre partnership.

As head of local government for a political party, Ann worked closely with ministers and local government agencies. Ann has been an agent at local and Parliamentary elections.

Ann also works as a Consultant to the Leadership Centre for Local Government and an Associate with the Centre for Public Scrutiny. She has worked with the IDeA and the LGiU.
